Hidden Costs of EnergyThe National Academies of Science have completed a study of the Hidden Costs of Energy: Unpriced Consequences of Energy Production and Use. Mainstream, non-Green economics does not usually attempt to account for costs associated with environmental damage, resource depletion, human suffering, etc. These costs are referred to collectively as "externalities" and dismissed. The new study focuses on those costs.
