Bank of Lincolnwood Fails

As the Bank of Lincolnwood was about to close Friday afternoon, agents of the FDIC and the State's Office of Professional Regulation, Banking Division told staff to remain at their posts.

The Bank of Lincolnwood was the sixth Illinois bank to fail this year. The bank had billed itself as "the entrepreneur's bank."

According to the Chicago Tribune, on Friday morning, the bank had unsuccessfully sought a restraining order in Cook County Circuit Court to prevent the shutdown.
